Moncler has chosen RIMOWA for a top-flight project to customise the suitcase that symbolises the German company, the Topas Stealth. At each encounter, Moncler’s creativity is put to the test by the brand’s technical and aesthetic specifications. There is just one diktat: excellence always comes first and foremost!
RIMOWA, the German company specialising in premium suitcases, is opening the interior of one of its most famous models to a series of down accessories conceived by the brand, which was established in Grenoble 60 years ago. The result sees Moncler further adding to its already lengthy list of outstanding collaborations.
If the item in question is a suitcase, then it must be a legend, such as the Topas Stealth, the multi-wheel cabin trolley. A fully-fledged travel icon for those wanting the utmost travelling experience. To further enhance it without distorting the
identities of Moncler and RIMOWA, the project has adopted precise proportions, and includes a warm intention.
The challenge moves beyond the purest quest for manufacturing perfection, and instead shifts the field of action to a more sophisticated level: designing with soul. The heart of Topas Stealth is warmed thanks to the feather down, with a delicate touch that cocoons the objects belonging to those that want to take them on their travels. The prized materials and details are unrivalled, but it is this cocooning approach that gives this new take on the suitcase, the brainchild of Moncler, profound added value.
Topas Stealth, the must-have suitcase in black aluminium much-beloved by an avant-garde clientele for its lightness, design and practicality, thus acquires a soft core. In addition to the quilted lining in black or white, Moncler has created a pair of shoe-bags, one toiletry case that is also quilted and another transparent one, designed specifically for transporting liquids in airplane cabins. Whilst on the outside, the enamelled logo and name tag are clearly visible.
The Moncler multi-wheel trolley will be on sale from September, in single-brand boutiques worldwide.
